What We Do

The UK is currently experiencing a serious shortage of Nurses in both the private and public sector. This has lead to nurses being placed on the UK shortage occupation list. As a result of the shortage, most employers have to recruit nurses from overseas. International Nurses who dream of working in the UK as a Registered Nurse or Mental Health Nurse can take advantage of this opportunity.

Our team fully understands the steps that International nurses take, starting with their UK Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC) application to join the register, Computer Based Test (CBT), to visa preparation and then onto Observed Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) preparation and exams.

Our Mission

To connect as many qualified International Nurses to suitable employers in the UK, while remaining compliant with all the UK Visas & Immigration (UKVI) working visa requirements.

Explore the experience

In October 2003, Enrolled Nurses were being sought after for the position of senior healthcare assistant and I was recruited and moved to the UK on the 13th of October 2003.

Arriving in the UK was made easier by the recruiting agent working with the UK employer. We arrived in a group of 10 and under-went induction for a week, introducing us to the way of life in the UK. This helped us to overcome some of the culture shock and get to grips with the UK way of life. I was posted to a care home in Kent and everything was arranged, such as accommodation and transport to and from work.

In 2005, I moved to a learning disability care home, where I worked as a team leader and rose to deputy manager.

In 2008, I went to University to retrain as a mental health nurse, qualifying in 2011. Since then, I have worked in a variety of settings and I am currently a senior clinical manager (band 8b).

Job connections have given me a life changing experience and I am able to financially support my family in Zambia. I have managed to buy a new plot in Zambia and we are currently building on it.
"Moving to another country could be very challenging for some but it was different for me. Job Connections gave me all sort of assistance I need to settle smoothly in the UK and even help me achieve my dreams of becoming an RGN."
"Job Connections has worked with our company assisting with our recruitment needs. Introducing permanent care staff ranging from Carers to RGNS and providing us with all supporting documents to ensure that the staff may work legally within the UK and fulfill their visa requirements."
