Permanent Residence
Permanent residency in the UK is normally called indefinite leave to remain (IRL). With this status, you have permission to stay in the UK, free from immigration control. You can qualify for this immigration status if your current visa leads to settlement. You normally have to be in the UK legally for a specified duration before you can apply for your permanent residence.
