In addition you will work and learn at you placement area where you will be allocated a recognised mentor who will take you through your portfolio which is competency based, under the guidance of the University. Hence the teaching and assessment will be carried out at the placement area and the University. The teaching programme consists of lectures, seminars/workshops, tutorials and self – directed learning. You will also receive supervision.
When you have completed your training and your mentor is satisfied, your portfolio will be examined by your Tutor initially and then by the Exam board before they recommend you to the NMC for your registration and to obtain your PIN number.
