Accommodation

For all overseas employment, it is important that the employer understands that accommodation needs to be facilitated and provided. In most instances, it would be adequately furnished, have linen and provide the white goods necessary to live.

In return the candidates would pay a fair, market related rent, which can be deducted from their salaries.

Often, candidates would be prepared to share rooms and not uncommonly, we find candidates with their partners, able to carry out similar work and contribute to your work force.

Settling In

It takes a good month, usually, to settle in a new employee, and spending quality time at the outset, will pay dividends in the long run. Good orientation to their new environment, their new job description, help in registration with the social services for their NI number as well as understanding that they are coming form different & diverse social and economic backgrounds, helps to grove them in. If carried out well, will result in the majority of your recruited staff staying with you for the duration of their contracts.

Orientation and Induction

The nurses who have accepted their job offer letters are oriented to the British way of life and some of its foibles, the currency, the weather, the social patterns, where and how to register with their Embassy and other useful tips.

Moreover they are also introduced to the Nursing home concept, briefed thoroughly on what to expect including aspects of dementia and Alzheimer's which they have likely not encountered. Continence products, dressings and infection control protocols are all detailed and discussed. The use of TOPS training videos and other written materials are used to facilitate this action. Where applicable, nurses are recommended and assisted to further improve their English language skills.
